Volt is hiring for a Production Associate position at a packaging and distribution facility in Sleepy Eye, MN. This role involves packaging, material handling, forklift operations, and quality reporting.

• Labeling, sticker application and packaging preparation
• Handling packaging materials and finished product
• Operating forklift to move product around production area and warehouses
• Maximizing warehouse space for finished product, packaging and raw materials
• Loading outbound trucks accurately, signing load sheet upon completion
• Unloading inbound trucks and railcars, meeting deadlines and delivering BOL paperwork to the foreman
• Operating manual production lines
• Operating loader to fill ingredient hoppers or transfer from hoop shed storage
• Identifying and reporting product quality or equipment issues to supervisor
• Completing tasks with attention to forklift safety, seatbelt use and LOTO

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to operate forklifts, loaders and conveyors
• Must be available for extended hours seasonally or as needed
• Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Ability to climb ladders, rail cars, stairs and bins
• May be required to work in confined spaces
• Comfortable working in an environment with dust and raw materials used in production of fertilizer and ice melt products

$20 per hour. Pay range will be based on education, experience, location, duties, certifications and other factors.
