Overview
EPTAM Precision Plastics is looking for a Machinist A (3 Axis) – Weekend/Weekday Shift to join our team in Northfield, NH. We create devices used in biopharma, molecular diagnostics, robot‑assisted surgeries, implantable devices, and more. Since its founding in 1981, the company has led in complex multi‑axis plastic machining and CNC turning, with FDA‑registered ISO 13485 certification and advanced automated inspection.
ScheduleTwo 12‑hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday and two 8‑hour shifts on varied weekdays (days and shifts change each week). Additional 20% shift differential applies.

- Complete all set‑ups, regardless of difficulty, and operate equipment as designated to meet production requirements.
- Complete complex set‑ups and program development efficiently to prepare for production runs.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally during NPI process to determine proper set‑up and operating procedures.
- Suggest tooling and fixture improvements to increase efficiency and operation ideas.
- Load/feed machine as required to produce finished product.
- Maintain production flow to meet established schedules.
- Perform first‑piece and in‑process inspection for dimensions and maintain documentation.
- Keep part counts and maintain accurate records in ERP and supporting documentation.
- Follow specifications and procedures for manufacturing (checklist, work orders, operator instructions, set‑up notes).
- Recall CMM programs and identify required fixturing.
- Operate CMM machines as required to produce finished product.
- Save and interpret reported CMM data, ensuring integrity of recorded information.
- Modify and adjust computer programs as directed by SGL or Programming.
- Identify quality problems in materials and take initiative to correct.
- Properly utilize evacuation system to minimize hazard exposure.
- Provide accurate and complete turnover from shift to shift.
- Maintain good housekeeping, safe work ethics, and professional conduct.
- Prevent damage and loss of finished product by proper handling of materials, parts, and equipment.
- Represent the company during customer, internal, ISO audits, and FDA inspections.
- Protect the sensitivity of data handled by systems under the employee’s control.
- Education
:
High School diploma, GED, or trade school graduate preferred. - Experience
: 5+ years in a manufacturing environment, setting up and operating manual and/or CNC equipment; equivalent combinations of education and experience accepted. Internships and part‑time experience acceptable. - Licenses, Certifications, and Registrations
