Requirements- Operate manual or CNC routers to cut, trim and shape materials
- Read and interpret blueprints, routing instructions, and measurements
- Set up tools, fixtures, and materials for each job
- Ensure accuracy and quality of cuts while minimizing waste
- Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on router machines
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Previous experience as a router operator in a manufacturing or fabrication setting is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements
- Knowledge of different materials and router bit selection
- Ability to differentiate materials, aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and types of plastic
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Programming capabilities preferred
- Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude
- Commitment to workplace safety
- 2-year degree or field experience
- 2+ years of router machine experience (CNC or manual)
- Technical or vocational training in machining or fabrication is a plus
