CNC Machinist

Overview

Massman Companies is hiring a CNC Machinist – 1st shift in our Villard, MN location. The role offers excellent compensation, benefits, and paid time off. Full‑time and part‑time (up to 3 days per week, no more than 30 hours, Monday‑Thursday) options are available.

The primary responsibility of a CNC Machinist is to support production operations by performing low to moderate machining operations on mills, drill presses, lathes, and other machine tools.

• Sets up basic tooling and writes and executes basic programs.
• Sets up, operates, and programs a broad range of production work involving close tolerances and exacting setups with a low to moderate degree of difficulty.
• Reads and interprets specific machining instructions from blueprints, parts, and machine drawings.
• Performs other secondary operations such as stamping part numbers and deburring during machine cycle times.
• Performs routine maintenance.
• Assists in other areas and performs additional tasks as needed; participates in and contributes to Massman’s lean manufacturing journey.
• Inspects machine parts to ensure they meet proper size, shape, or tolerance specifications using micrometers and other measuring tools and devices.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical Degree in Machine Tool Technology or related field preferred.

• Able to problem‑solve, have good mechanical aptitude, and able to learn and understand job methods and instructions in a timely manner.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes preferred.

• 2–3 years of relevant machining experience can be substituted for Technical Degree.

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds.
