We are currently accepting applications for Panel Operator (Plant #41) on 2nd shift! We offer a competitive starting wage of $26.14 along with a $1/Hr. night shift and a $2/Hr. weekend shift differential, and regular pay increases. 2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 4:00pm - 12:00am (midnight)
Weekend hours may be possible on a required or voluntary basis

Equipment Operation & Maintenance Production Paperwork Department Cleanliness
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Observe all assigned processing equipment through computer monitors to ensure product specifications are being met
Read gauges on computer monitors to ensure proper manufacturing temperature, moisture, and pressure levels
Manually adjust steam valves on equipment
Accurately complete paperwork every two hours regarding observations and product being produced
Understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality standards; collect and test product samples
Follow lock-out tag-out procedures and perform basic troubleshooting; escalate to Plant Maintenance when necessary
Operate bobcats, forklifts, and yard trucks to unload, load, and process raw material; fill machinery with diesel and propane, as needed
Effectively communicate processing activities with production personnel to prevent errors and inefficiencies
Use shovels, pressure washers, brushes, and/or detergent solutions to clean the production floor and trailers
Assist in cleaning and maintaining production, air, and wastewater treatment equipment, as requested
Report any concerns, accidents, downtime, or cost-saving measures to Foreman
Follow all company safety policies, practices, procedures, and improvement initiatives
Comply with all regulatory compliance requirements including environmental and food/feed safety
Maintain positive relationships with others and assist other production or maintenance personnel, as necessary
Perform general housekeeping to maintain a clean work environment, as needed
Maintain regular and predictable on-site attendance
Situations may arise that require employees to temporarily or permanently assume responsibility for tasks not specifically outlined in this job description. Employees may be requested to work additional hours and/or accommodate a heavier than normal workload.
Qualifications
Experience in food/feed production, a plus
Ability to remain alert under sedentary conditions and focus on production processes for extended periods of time
Understand and operate basic computer systems
Accurately read and understand signs, labels, warnings, directions, and operator manuals
Pass in-house Forklift Certification; experience in backing up trailers or operating a skid steer and forklift, preferred
Proficient in reading data trends; accurately and legibly record information
Work in a facility that processes multiple species including cows, pigs, and poultry
Willingness and ability to work extra hours as needed during the week or weekend
Must be 18 years of age or older for insurance purposes
Physical Requirements
Occasionally push and/or pull objects up to 100 pounds
Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds from floor to waist level
Consistently bend at the waist and/or knees
Occasionally climb ladders up to 15 feet or be elevated in scissors lifts up to 40 feet
Sit up to 75% of the workday
Ability to work in confined and restricted spaces
Ability to work safely in all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold
