Paint Line Prep Laborer
Prepare metal parts for painting by grinding, sanding, cleaning, and racking. This role supports the paint line and offers growth into an industrial painter position.
Grind and sand metal parts to create smooth, paint-ready surfaces
Deburr edges and remove imperfections
Wash and clean parts before painting
Rack parts onto the paint line in the correct order
Tape and mask areas that should not be painted
Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards
Keep your work area clean and organized
Work with the paint team to keep production moving
1+ year of manufacturing or production experience (paint line preferred)
Experience with grinders, sanding, or hand tools
Ability to lift 30–50 lbs (most parts lighter)
Comfortable standing for full shifts and doing repetitive work
Strong attention to detail
Willing to wear a respirator (must pass fit test and be clean shaven)
Comfortable working in a slightly dusty/dirty environment
Paint prep or industrial painting experience
Experience with masking, taping, or racking parts
Interest in growing into a painter role
1st Shift: Mon–Thurs, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
2nd Shift: Mon–Thurs, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
Occasional Friday overtime (4–6 hours)
Clean, organized production shop
Work in paint area with a laid-back but productive team
Uses solvent-based paint (low heavy dust, but still some sanding debris)

This is a Permanent position based out of BLAINE, MN.
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
