What It Takes to Master the Machines as a Machinist
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of machining or manufacturing experience required
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments
- Basic math skills including fractions and decimals
- Knowledge of metals such as aluminum and stainless steel preferred
- Forklift and hoist safety knowledge is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Lift up to 40 lbs regularly
- Stand for up to 10 hours per shift
- Use power tools and perform repetitive hand movements
- Work in a production environment with varying temperatures and humidity

What Your Workday Looks Like
- Operate and monitor manufacturing machinery used to produce metal components
- Perform quality checks and accurately report daily production counts
- Read blueprints and use precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Assist with machine setup, tooling changes, and first-part inspections
- Perform basic machine adjustments and minor troubleshooting with support
- Deburr finished parts and maintain organized workstations
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout protocols
- Maintain accurate tool inventory and production documentation
