Westmor Industries is seeking a detail‑oriented Paint Prep Technician to support our production team. This role is essential in ensuring high‑quality finishes and maintaining the efficiency of our paint operations. If you value precision, safety, and craftsmanship, we invite you to apply.
Responsibilities- Surface Preparation
- Sand surfaces using an air sander
- Apply sand poly and primer
- Verify removal of spatter and slag
- Apply filler to achieve a smooth, paint‑ready finish
- Measurement & Documentation
- Measure pre‑ and post‑sand dry mill thickness
- Record measurements using proper devices
- Complete all required paperwork accurately
- Equipment Maintenance
- Perform daily maintenance on paint prep equipment
- Clean paint booths and lights
- Change filters as needed
- Keep the paint prep area organized and production‑ready
- Safety & Operation
- Identify and mask areas not designated for paint
- Safely operate tuggers, lifts, and other machinery
- Wear proper PPE and follow all safety procedures
- Coordination & Organization
- Coordinate workflow with team members
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and efficient work area
- The starting pay range for this position is $18 - $22 per hour. Final compensation will depend on various factors including: skills, experience, and location.
- Weekly paycheck
- Boot reimbursements up to $125
