Role DescriptionThe Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist is a full-time, on-site role located in Glenwood, MN. The person in this role sets up and operates CNC machines to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications, including selecting tools, loading programs, and adjusting machine settings. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring machining operations, performing basic troubleshooting, and making offset adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and part quality.
The CNC Machinist inspects finished components using measurement tools, documents results, and collaborates with team members to resolve production or quality issues. The role also involves routine machine maintenance, keeping the work area organized and safe, and communicating effectively with supervisors and coworkers to meet production schedules.
- Ability to operate CNC equipment and perform general Machine Operation tasks.
- Hands‑on experience with Machining processes, primarily Turning and related metalworking techniques.
- Knowledge of Quality Control practices, including inspection methods and use of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Familiarity with industrial Machinery, basic maintenance, and safe operating procedures.
- Attention to detail, strong problem‑solving skills, and commitment to safety.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
- Prior experience as a CNC Machinist or in a related manufacturing role preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining is a plus.
