Position SummaryCell Lead I coordinates, monitors, and leads the activities of a cellular work team to meet assigned production goals and objectives in a manufacturing environment. The role involves working with various production machinery and equipment.
Shift Schedule4th shift:
Friday-Saturday-Sunday 6:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., with flexibility to overlap with the 5th shift as needed.
- Execute the production schedule.
- Schedule employees to operate equipment and run jobs.
- Ensure the area is stocked with materials and supplies to meet production needs.
- Confirm jobs are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Ensure machinery and equipment run efficiently and effectively.
- Provide on-the-job training and mentoring for employees.
- Ensure employees follow work instructions and processes.
- Provide daily updates through the Tier I process.
- Communicate production issues, schedules, and priorities within and between teams.
- Implement process improvements.
- Set goals, performance initiatives, and accountability areas aligned with company goals.
- Ensure employees follow company guidelines, policies, and procedures.
- Manage the manufacturing ERP system for production.
- Support and comply with the company quality system, ISO, and medical device requirements.
- Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work.
- Partner with other business segments such as sales, marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance.
- Understand customer needs and the core business markets served.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience.
- Knowledge of manufacturing machinery, equipment, and processes.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to take direction from and give input to the next level leader.
- Ability to collaborate and assist team members.
- Ability to cross-train in other areas of production when required.
- Ability to manage relationships and facilitate teamwork.
- Business or technical degree (desirable).
- Supervisory experience (desirable).
- Medical manufacturing experience (desirable).
- Familiarity with ISO and FDA requirements (desirable).
- Certifications in a related field (desirable).
USD $23.00 - $30.00 per hour. The pay range reflects the base hourly rate for positions within this job grade. Actual compensation will depend on skill, experience, education, and market conditions. Offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range.
