Polaris – Roseau Operations
The Lean Facilitator (Hourly Grade
2) supports Polaris' Continuous Improvement (CI) and Lean initiatives across Roseau Operations. This role enables teams through facilitation, training, and hands-on improvement support, driving operational excellence in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
The Lean Facilitator accelerates the adoption of Lean principles across the shop floor by supporting problem-solving, leading training activities, and enabling operational teams through coaching and structured facilitation. This role contributes directly to improving process flow, reducing waste, and strengthening Polaris' CI culture.
Key Responsibilities• Expedite the continuous improvement process across assigned areas.
• Teach and apply core Lean problem-solving tools (5 Whys, PDCA, Fishbone, Pareto, 5S, etc.).
• Support and facilitate value stream mapping and workflow analysis.
• Lead or co-lead Kaizen events.
• Apply basic statistical process control concepts to CI initiatives.
• Provide feedback and coaching to operators, team leads, and supervisors.
• Help design and deliver training seminars and workshops.
• Facilitate team discussions and guide cross-functional problem-solving.
• Participate on the CI/Lean leadership team for Roseau Operations.
• Support the sustainment of measurement systems, productivity reviews, and Lean standards.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and/or Six Sigma concepts.
• Ability to facilitate teams, discussions, and structured problem-solving.
• Knowledge of 5S principles and ability to coach sustainment.
• Basic understanding of workflow analysis and productivity concepts.
• Familiarity with charts, graphs, and simple statistical indicators.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coach peers and influence positive change.
Preferred Experience & Attributes• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, or production operations.
• Participation in Kaizen events or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Comfortable speaking to small groups and leading team activities.
• Demonstrated initiative in problem-solving and process improvement.
• Desire to continuously learn and grow within Lean methodology.
Physical &Work Environment Requirements
• Frequent presence on the production floor.
• Ability to observe processes, walk, stand, and support hands-on improvement activity.
• Comfort working in a dynamic operational environment with shifting priorities.

Base Pay Range:
$24.84 - $29.68
