Material Handler
In collaboration with the Materials VSL (Value Stream Leader), the Material Handler will place materials in bins or storage areas along with various requesting departments. The Material Handler will pick parts for production jobs prior to their need. The Material Handler will be responsible for the counting, sorting, and identifying of parts and materials. The Material Handler will be versatile and cross train in shipping/receiving along with operating a forklift.
This role interacts with all departments throughout the organization.
Essential functions include:
- Pick parts for production jobs prior to their need
- Count, sort, and identify parts and materials for jobs
- Operate with the utmost attention to safety of self and others
- Maintain accurate product identification and proper count
- Drive forklift and supply materials to all departments
- Store product safely and securely
- Receive in and ship out products
- Cross train into shipping/receiving and help out as required
- Work well within a team of professionals and independently
- Comply and align daily tasks while meeting deadlines
- Work to exceed WINCO's quality and safety standards
- Other duties as assigned
