Laser Nesting Software Technician

A Laser Nesting Software Technician is responsible for the following duties:

• Nesting Optimization:
  Utilize specialized software (such as Dr. Abe, Abe Planner and Pro Nest) to lay out part geometries on raw metal sheets.
• Programming:
  Translate engineering blueprints and CAD files into operational CNC programs for the laser machine.
• Material Management:
  Keep track of material yields, efficiently group different‑sized parts, and manage leftover scrap and raw material inventory.
• Quality:
  Ensure job orders are completed on schedule and production meets quality standards.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work with floor operators, team lead, and engineers to prioritize jobs and resolve manufacturing issues.
• Material Knowledge:
  Understanding of different material types (steel, aluminum, etc.), and thicknesses.
• Preventive Maintenance:
  Perform daily preventative maintenance and maintain housekeeping standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

The starting pay range for this position is $18-$22 per hour. Final compensation will depend on various factors including skills, experience, and location.

6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Mon-Fri
