Job SummaryAs a Fabric Finisher within a fashion brand, you will play a critical role in preparing the textiles to be made into high-quality knit fabrics. You will be responsible for washing and measuring test pieces and fabric produced. You’ll prepare product according to determined work processes and send it to the floor to begin cutting and assembly of the final product.
HoursMonday – Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours)

- Wash and dry all components according to instructions, such as wash products, extractor time, dryer temperature, and time.
- Gather all WOG’s (Work Order Group) for a complete garment and process together, flagging them so you can tell them apart (Fronts, backs, sleeves, bands, stollings, etc.).
- Process test pieces from knitting according to instructions.
- Enter laundry details into the computer system – wash instructions, product used to wash, machines used for processing, measurement details for protos and roadman pieces, and verify costing.
- Sew off edges of bundles and test pieces.
- Learn to operate various machines as needed to process all components properly per instructions.
- Quality focus – identify flaws in the knit, discoloration, or stains in the material and bring to the appropriate person’s attention.
- Stain and spot removal – use appropriate products to clean it.
- Measure WOG pieces via ruler and steam table sizing, identifying stretch or shrinkage.
- Rip sections of fabric apart by seeing and pulling the correct string.
- Work as a team with all departments.
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned or apparent.
Skills and Abilities
- Self‑starter with strong organization and the ability to work within a timeline and stay on track.
- Ability to multi‑task to keep the laundry process going in a fast‑paced environment.
- Manual dexterity and strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with a variety of machinery.
- Basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Experience in a manufacturing or textile production environment is preferred.
- Must be able to stand for up to 10 hours per day.
- Ability to lift 30–40 lb. bundles.
- Ability to handle heat and humidity.
- Good vision.
