Machine Operator, Injection Molding
Overview
The Mold Set-up Technician is responsible for safe and efficient set-up and operation of injection molding machines and molds in accordance with standard procedures. This role ensures mold changes and set-ups follow established procedures to meet customer demands, and maintains safety devices and lockout/tagout procedures to prevent injuries. The role also includes setting up and layout of press operator workstations and auxiliary equipment to provide optimal workflow and increase quality awareness.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate injection molding machines and molds according to standard procedures.
- Perform mold changes and set-ups efficiently to meet customer demands.
- Ensure all safety devices are in place and follow lockout/tagout procedures to eliminate risk of injury.
- Arrange and optimize press operator workstations and auxiliary equipment to support efficient workflow and quality.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety and quality policies.
- 6 on, 3 off rotating schedule with the following openings:
- 1st Shift – 7:00 PM to 3:30 PM ($22.00 per hour)
- 2nd Shift – 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM ($24.00 per hour)
- 3rd Shift – 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM ($26.00 per hour)
- Ability to read and comprehend directions, procedures, instructions, specifications, and setup sheets to determine correct machine setup.
- No experience required; mechanical aptitude preferred. On-the-job training is provided.
External candidates receive a $1,000 bonus after 90 days of employment (must meet performance and attendance requirements).
Pre-employment drug screening and/or testing is required.
Our Rush City, MN facility is located within 30 miles of Hinckley, Mora, Braham, Stanchfield, Cambridge, Isanti, North Branch, Wyoming, Lindstrom, and Chisago, MN and Grantsburg, WI.
