We are looking for a Cell Lead I for the 4th shift (Friday‑Saturday‑Sunday 6am to 6:30pm, with flexibility to overlap the 5th shift as needed). The role involves coordinating, monitoring, and leading a cellular work team to meet manufacturing goals.
Position SummaryThe Cell Lead I will manage the cellular work team, schedule employees, ensure material supply, maintain quality and efficiency, provide training, communicate production issues, and implement process improvements.
Responsibilities- Execute to the production schedule
- Schedule employees to run equipment and jobs
- Ensure the area has the materials and supplies to meet production needs
- Ensure jobs are complete, meet quality standards, and are on time
- Ensure machinery and equipment are running efficiently and effectively
- Provide employee on‑the‑job training and mentoring
- Ensure employees follow work instructions and processes
- Provide daily updates through the Tier I process
- Communicate production issues, schedules, and priorities within and between teams
- Implement process improvements
- Provide employees with goals, performance initiatives and accountability aligned with company goals
- Ensure employees adhere to company guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Manage the manufacturing ERP systems for production
- Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements
- Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work
- Partner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance
- Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3 years of manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing machinery, equipment, and processes
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements
- Ability to manage relationships and facilitate team collaboration
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong problem‑solving skills
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks
- Ability to take direction from and provide input to the next level leader
- Ability to collaborate and assist team members
- Ability to cross‑train in other production areas when required
- Business or technical degree
- Supervisory experience
- Medical manufacturing experience
- Familiarity with ISO and FDA requirements
- Certifications in a related field
USD $23.00 – $30.00 per hour.
Pay Range DetailsThis range reflects the base hourly rate for positions within this job grade, based on our market‑based pay structures. Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. Offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range.
