The Team Lead will provide daily work direction of the production line through effective communication and completion of manufacturing operations tasks while applying AMS tools. Identify process and resource constraints and utilize appropriate decision making and problem‑solving techniques to resolve and meet SQDC metrics. Provide feedback, coaching, and training to production employees. The team lead will oversee daily work direction for a production department of 5-40 production associates and facilitate mandatory coaching and training.

• Ensure the continuous flow of production to meet planned output while following operations standards (safety, quality, delivery, cost, maintenance).
• Identify issues, engaging the Tier 1 team in process or problem resolution and escalating appropriate issues to Team 2.
• Partner with Value Stream Supervisors.
• Facilitate training and development of production employees, providing clear expectations of performance, AMS, quality, and safety.
• Maintain cross‑training matrix to effectively utilize employee capabilities and coordinate employee movements to meet business needs.
• Improve business metrics by leading and supporting AMS projects and initiatives.
• Maintain visual management tools (PVA, run charts, CI boards, and Tier 1 boards) to drive continuous improvement and employee engagement.
• Participate in problem‑solving using AMS tools and methodology (5 Why, PDCA, MCA).
• Demonstrate leadership in communications, conflict resolution, process constraints and problem solving.
• Lead and communicate at the daily Tier 1 meeting to encourage employee participation and engagement.
• Provide support to other production areas as needed, including project support, leadership coverage, and cycle‑counting responsibilities.
• Complete standard work & control‑plan audits, including safety, finished‑goods quality, scrap, and standard‑work audits.
• Participate and complete corrective actions from the MCA process.
• Follow and enforce all safety procedures, proactively addressing concerns and following up as required.

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge and application of continuous improvement processes such as 5S and problem‑solving methods;
  Lean training or certification preferred.
• Knowledge of operations, products, processes, and equipment, including safety, quality, change‑over, mandatory set‑up skills, preventative maintenance techniques, and basic machine‑diagnostic skills.
• Understanding of inter‑dependencies across the value stream.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, train, and motivate employees.
• Strong problem‑solving, delegation, and decision‑making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, self‑motivated and life‑long learner with demonstrated initiative.
