The Opportunity
The Lake Leaf Kitchen Technician is responsible for the production of cannabis infused candy. They are essential to manufacturing and processing confectionery products. Through training and development, they can operate multiplepieces of production machinery. They cook, inspect, start, stop, adjust, clean, sanitize and shut down the production kitchen and equipment as needed.
What You Get to Do
Responsible for the production of cannabis infused gummies and sorting of various candy
Maintains and updates batch sheets
Comprehend flow and basic room functionality
Complete production documentation
Comply with all Food Safety Standards
Maintain a clean and safe work area and ensure proper sanitation procedures are adhered too
Inspects and verifies product process and product while making adjustments as necessary
Communicates with Lake Leaf leadership team if needed
Verifies proper materials are being used for the correct job and batch number
Operate tray racks, molds, and other material handling equipment
Identify and communicate problems and production issues in a timely manner
Interpret and adhere to all candy production standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
Meet daily production goals and standards
Clean and maintain machinery, equipment, racks, molds and ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions
Must be able to work seamlessly with others on the kitchen team
Ability to assist in packaging as needed
Potential to cross train into other production areas as required by the manufacturing process.
Ability to cross train in distribution, packaging or where deemed necessary

What Qualifies You
Must be 21 years of age or older
Must be able to secure a license from the Regulatory Agency
Responsible for following all relevant Cannabis Regulations
Mille Lacs Band Member and American Indian preference will be exercised in the hiring process
Must Haves
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
Must be able to follow instructions unsupervised and has ability to concentrate on each task
Accurate data-entry and record keeping, both hard copy and digitally.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management abilities
Ability to stand, sit, kneel, and lift equipment or plants up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Reside within a distance that allows for a regular on-site presence.
Indoor cultivation facility with controlled temperatures and humidity levels.
Exposure to strong odors and varying noise levels.
Compliance with strict hygiene and sanitation standards.
Collaborative team environment with communication between multiple departments.
Adherence to safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe workspace
