Senior Flexo Press Operator

Pay Rate: $23.00 – $40.00 / hour (DOE)
Schedule:
Day Shift (7:00 AM start, flexible 8-hr/8.5-hr options)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Flexo Press Operator for a top printing manufacturer in the St. Paul area. This role involves setting up and operating narrow-web flexographic presses in a fast-paced environment, with strong potential to transition into a Lead Operator role based on experience.
- Press Operation:
Set up, operate, and maintain narrow-web flexo equipment (Mark Andy 2200/XP5000 and Webtron 650/750). - Color & Quality:
Perform color matching using densitometers; handle ink prep and setup. - Production & Finishing:
Manage roll-to-roll printing, digital print integration, and narrow-web die-cutting (6"–13" width). - Specialized Runs:
Oversee high-precision and high-security print jobs (passports/sensitive docs). - Finishing Support:
Assist with table/stand-up rewinding equipment as needed. - Rewind & Packaging:
Assist with rewinding parts, operating table rewinds and stand-up rewinding stations ($18–$25/hr scope). - Quality & Security:
Ensure precise production for specialized print jobs (including high-security work such as passports and sensitive documentation). - Safety & Standards:
Maintain a safe work area utilizing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and ear protection.
- Experience:
2+ years of hands-on Flexo / Press Operator experience. - Equipment:
Direct experience with Mark Andy and/or Webtron presses. - Technical
Skills:
Proficient with densitometers and color matching. - Background Check:
Required due to security work (clean record; no felonies or theft misdemeanors).
- Pay Range: $23.00 – $40.00/hr (Operator); $18.00 – $25.00/hr (Rewind/Packaging).
- Trial Period: 90-day evaluation.
- Paid Time Off:
Up to 4 weeks accrued vacation + 9 paid holidays. - Health & Dental: 70% company-paid medical premiums (50% for families) + free preventive dental.
- Retirement & Life: SEP IRA pension with annual company contribution + 1.4x Life Insurance.
- Salary: $66,000 - $84,000 per year.
