Manufacturing Team Lead I, 100 Series, 1st Shift 5X8

Responsibilities

• Ensure the continuous flow of production to meet planned output while following operations standards (safety, quality, delivery, cost, maintenance).
• Identify issues, engaging the Tier 1 team in process or problem resolution and escalating appropriate issues to Tier 2 team.
• Partner with Value Stream Supervisors.
• Facilitate training and development of production employees, providing clear expectations of performance, AMS, quality, and safety.
• Provide coaching and feedback.
• Maintain cross‑training matrix to effectively utilize knowledge of employee capabilities.
• Coordinate movement of employees to meet business need.
• Focus on improving business metrics by leading and supporting AMS projects and initiatives.
• Maintain visual management tools (PVA, run charts, CI boards, and Tier 1 boards) to drive continuous improvement and employee engagement.
• Participate in problem solving using AMS tools and methodology (5 Why, PDCA, MCA).

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing operations.
• Requires knowledge and application of continuous improvement processes such as 5s and problem‑solving methods.
• Lean training or certification preferred.
• Knowledge of operations products, processes, and equipment including safety, quality, changeover and set‑up skills and knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques and basic machine diagnostic skills.
• Requires intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train, and motivate employees.
• Demonstrated skill in identifying constraints or barriers, problem solving, delegation and sound decision making.
• Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills and effectively working with others.

Demonstrates expertise in continuous improvement processes and operational standards, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and employee development. Proficient in leading teams, problem‑solving, and utilizing AMS tools to enhance production efficiency.
