Responsibilities:

+ Determine the proper and efficient approach to fabricate a requested part or assembly

+ Ensure adherence to safety protocols and participate in continuous improvement projects for 5S and safety

+ Operate and maintain MIG/TIG welding equipment for carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum welding

+ Communicate with work order requestors  engineers/managers  to define goals and ensure alignment on objectives and functionality of prototypes

+ Ensures quality of work prior to completing work order action closures

+ Assist in training team and engineering department members utilizing existing SOP's  Standard operating procedures  and assist in creating new procedures as required

+ Perform routine and preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment as required

+ Operate or learn to operate shop equipment including bandsaws, lathe, mill, drill press, shear with growth opportunity to operate advanced equipment such as CNC

Qualifications

Qualifications:

+

Education:

High School Diploma or GED required;
Associate's degree preferred

+ Years of

Experience:

4 of more years of experience required; welding certification preferred

+ Software Knowledge:
Proficient in reading engineering drawings;
Microsoft Office application skills preferred

Additional Requirements:

+ Valid driver's license

+ experience with fabrication techniques and hand tools required
