Assembly Operator
nVent is looking for entry level and skilled Assembly Operators on Weekend Shift to join our team. Candidate must be able to train on either 1st or 2nd shift until mid-July!
Starting hourly pay is up to $20.75+ with overtime opportunities
Pay Transparency nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply. Compensation Range: $14.80 - $27.50 Per Hour.
Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
What You Will Experience In This Position:
- Work individually or as part of a team to assemble, fill, kit, prepare, label, and/or package an entire product or component of a product according to Work Instructions.
- Completes work based on specifications, drawings, job routings, and/or Work Instructions.
- Selects and moves production materials as required.
- Maintains equipment and materials necessary to complete the operation.
- Meets established safety, quality, and performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.
- Records accurate information on Manufacturing Order and performs transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balances.
- Complies with all applicable safety procedures, quality specifications, and 5S Standards. Reports adverse conditions, non-conforming products/procedures, and 5S violations to department leader in accordance to escalation procedure.
- Adheres to department 5S standards daily. Maintains a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- In accordance with escalation procedure, notify team leader or other appropriate resource when problems arise concerning safety, quality, equipment, operations, materials, inventory, documentation, etc.
- Demonstrates flexibility by performing rotational assignments as needed. Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement activities to meet customer needs.
You Have:
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred
- Knowledge in use of scales, preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, preferred
- Experience following work instructions or reading blueprints, preferred
- Experience in assembling mechanical parts into a finished product, preferred
- Experience in using hand and power tools, preferred
- Prior experience working in a light industrial facility preferred
