Fabricator, Manufacturing ​/ Production

Bailey Nurseries, Inc., a fifth-generation, family-owned horticultural leader, is seeking a Fabricator to build and repair production equipment that keeps our plants moving efficiently from greenhouse to customer. In this hands-on role, you'll measure, cut, weld, and assemble metal components for racks, carts, and custom nursery systems, ensuring durability, safety, and accuracy. You'll read blueprints, operate shop tools, and collaborate closely with production and maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble metal components for nursery production equipment, racks, and plant handling systems according to drawings and specifications
• Measure, cut, weld, drill, and grind materials using shop machinery and hand tools while meeting quality and safety standards
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and work orders to plan fabrication steps and material requirements
• Inspect finished parts and structures for accuracy, durability, and fit; make adjustments and repairs as needed
• Perform routine maintenance on fabrication tools, welders, and equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and logistics teams to support continuous improvement and minimize downtime
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety, PPE, and company procedures
