Specialty Manufacturing is looking for a proactive and ambitious candidate to join our team as a Material Handler! The Material Handler position reports directly to our Plant Manager and also partners with team members across other production areas.
Here’s what you’ll do:- Assist in coordinating the workflow including movement of parts.
- Removal and disposal of chips from machines.
- Material preparation organization.
- Put new inventory in warehouse location and complete corresponding transactions into the computer.
- Operate equipment to wash and clean production parts to specifications.
- Responsibility for some equipment maintenance is required,including monitoring machine oil levels.
- Basic cleaning and organizing.
- High School diploma or GED required
- Forklift experience/license a plus
- Must be able to read, write and have basic computer skills
- Strong attention to details
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Ability to maneuver/lift 50 pounds continuously
Expected Compensation Range:
Hourly, non-exempt- $18- $21
