The Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC Machining Centers, CNC Lathes, Manual Lathes & Mills. Solid machine tool background and the ability to manufacture precision parts that meet engineering specifications and quality standards in a production environment. This role is a hands-on machining position driving quality and optimizing production efficiency, throughput while maintaining product quality.

Hours:

6:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Overtime until 3:30 PM)
Wage: $25.00 - $33.00/HR

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment.
• Modify, and optimize CNC programs using machine controls
• Monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet specifications
• Measure and inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and understand GD&T.
• Perform first-article inspections (PPAP) and verify dimensional accuracy using precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues to minimize downtime.
• Make program adjustments to improve cycle times, quality, and machine efficiency.

6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Skills:

• Experience in a production setting
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing process improvement

Education:

• High School

Experience:

• 2 - 4 years

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2+ years of CNC machining or metal fabrication experience
• Experience with CNC controls
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
• Basic understanding of metal properties and machining processes
• Strong attention to detail, safety and quality
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
