Marketing Intern - Social Media

Location: Newport

Schedule: Part-time, seasonal (10-20 hours/week)
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt - Paid Internship

About the Opportunity:
The Social Media Intern will be responsible for supporting the development of Bailey and Bailey Consumer Brands' social media strategy through trend research, forecasting, analytics support, and strategic planning. These efforts will inform the social strategy for 2026 and day-to-day content creation, implementation, and management of Bailey and Bailey Consumer Brands Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Tik Tok, Pinterest, You Tube, and Linked In social media accounts.

Additionally, this role will assist in some content creation and community management to stay connected to day-to-day performance and trends.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Trend Research, Analytics, & Strategic Support

• Conduct social media trend research and cultural forecasting to inform B2B and B2C social strategy. Compile and present those insights and recommendations to the Social Media Specialist.
• Assist in creating a structure for tracking social media analytics weekly to inform social strategy.
• Support development of long-term content themes and campaign concepts, translating analytics into strategic insights to inform future content planning.

Channel & Campaign Development

• Participate in the development of Bailey Nurseries B2B social channels.
• Support planning for a paid creator campaign strategy in 2026.

Content & Community Support

• Assist in analytics-informed content creation.
• Provide ongoing community management support and assistance, across owned channels.

Required Qualifications:

• Preferred Majors / Fields of Study:
  Marketing, Communications, Strategic Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Agricultural Communications, and related.
• Strong interest in social media trends, strategy, and digital culture.
• Current knowledge of relevant social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Tik Tok, Pinterest, You Tube, and Linked In.
• Understanding of social media best practices and KPIs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with knowledge of AP style.
• Enthusiastic and adaptable with a willingness to jump in and learn new things.
• Team focused attitude with excitement to learn.
• Attention to detail, collaborative, professional, and able to manage multiple projects at once while maintaining deadlines.
• Experience with digital marketing tools like Cap Cut, Sprout, or similar platforms (preferred but not required).
