Strategic Talent Partners has been retained by our client to hire a Director of Sales & Marketing.

Our client is a Custom Rotational Molding Manufacturer developing innovative products for fishing, hunting, marine recreation and power sports. With an uncompromising commitment to quality, durability and ingenuity, their brands continue to lead the way in each of their respective categories.

Position Overview:

Reporting to the President, the Director of Sales & Marketing will provide strategic leadership for the commercial success of the company’s largest brand.

The leader is responsible for developing and executing the sales and marketing strategy to drive revenue growth, expand market presence, strengthen dealer partnerships, and elevate the brand across North America.

As the leader of the Sales & Marketing team, the Director will develop commercial strategies, oversee forecasting and budgeting, and develop the people, processes, and systems needed to support continued growth. The Director will lead key commercial initiatives, enhance the customer and dealer experience, represent the brand externally, and leverage technology and data to improve performance and scalability.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys the outdoors to blend their professional experience and personal passions. This is an in-office position based out of either the Maple Lake, MN office or Hasty, MN showroom.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Marketing Strategy

  • Develop and execute an annual sales and marketing plan with clear objectives, KPIs, and accountability measures for each team member.
  • Oversee sales and marketing campaigns, including product launches, sales tools, training, presentations, and competitive positioning to drive revenue growth.
  • Lead, manage, and develop sales and marketing team members; oversee hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and professional development plans.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture with a focus on continuous improvement and individual growth.

Process Improvement & Execution

  • Design and implement systems and processes to improve team efficiency, data accuracy, and sales/marketing effectiveness.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance, adjusting strategies to meet goals and ensure quality and consistency across functions.
  • Analyze customer behavior, sales data, and market trends to inform strategy and improve acquisition and conversion.
  • Research and respond to customer needs, ensuring effective resolution of issues and communication with sales leadership.

Campaign Analysis & Reporting

  • Evaluate marketing initiatives for ROI and performance; conduct and present actionable insights to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Translate data and analysis into clear recommendations that drive informed business decisions.

Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in sales operations, business planning, marketing, or sales support/marketing support management roles.
  • BS or BA degree in Marketing, Sales or a related field.
  • Skilled at developing and executing business plans, setting KPIs, and aligning cross-functional teams around clear goals and outcomes
  • Committed to coaching, mentoring, and developing talent; fosters a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
  • Experience leveraging CRM platforms, preferably Hub Spot, to improve visibility, data integrity, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, evaluate marketing ROI, and provide actionable insights that improve performance and conversion.
  • Adept at understanding customer needs, gathering feedback, and using insights to refine sales strategies.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; capable of building trust with diverse teams and influencing executive-level stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and digital marketing platforms.
  • Highly accountable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
