Senior Pastor – East Chain Evangelical Free Church (Granada, MN)
East Chain Evangelical Free Church () seeks a full‑time Senior Pastor to lead the congregation in its mission to Love God, Love Others, and Make Disciples of Jesus Christ. The church is grounded in the authority of Scripture and aims to labor for the salvation of souls, edification of the saints, and growth in the grace of God. The Senior Pastor will be a voting member of the Overseer Board and responsible for the spiritual direction and vision of the church.
The Senior Pastor must know Christ as his personal Savior, live an exemplary life in accordance with biblical principles, be sound in faith and doctrine, and be qualified to preach and teach the Word of God as led by the Holy Spirit.
Responsibilities- Preach and teach the Word of God as led by the Holy Spirit.
- Plan and lead worship services with the Worship Ministry Team.
- Participate in a small group and serve communion at least four times per year with the help of the Deacons.
- Officiate weddings, funerals, baby dedications, and baptisms.
- Provide counseling to congregants as needed.
- Maintain office hours and visit members of the congregation and visitors (duties may be delegated to pastoral staff or deacons).
- Lead the Pastoral Staff and hold regular staff meetings.
- Meet at least monthly with the Overseer Board.
- Conduct and oversee membership classes as needed.
- Conduct annual staff evaluations and participate in evaluation by members of the Overseer Board.
- Be actively involved in the community as the Holy Spirit leads.
- Perform additional duties developed with church leadership.
- Serve as an ex‑officio member of all church committees, except the Senior Pastor Search Committee.
- 5+ years of teaching/preaching experience.
- Preferably served in an Evangelical Free church.
- Age 35–55.
- Mid‑western rural upbringing or desire to reside in a rural area; family intent to assimilate into the local community.
- Married for 5+ years.
- Has children, some school‑age; adult children walking with the Lord.
- Family committed to community involvement (events, sports, etc.).
