36 hours per week (full‑time 72 hours bi‑weekly)

Gundersen-Harmony Care Center is a long-term care facility dedicated to promoting a healthy, meaningful and secure environment for adults of all ages. We are looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant or Nursing Assistant to join the team.

• Full‑time 72 hours bi‑weekly
• Work night shifts Monday‑Friday, including every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Nurture a family‑based care environment by learning about each person and serving their needs
• Perform basic care of patients under the general supervision of an RN in the acute hospital setting
• Transport and transfer patients within the medical complex in a safe and efficient manner; assist with data collection to facilitate delegated nursing care

• Work closely under the supervision of a licensed nurse
• Must be physically able to lift heavy objects, as well as push, pull, reach and squat on a regular basis
• Accurately document each resident in an electronic medical record and be familiar and competent in basic computer use
• Assist with basic care for patients in the areas of nutrition, elimination, comfort, mobility, and safety
• Ensure patient safety
• Participate in CNA meetings and unit staff meetings
• Participate in quality improvement activities to continuously improve patient care and unit operations
• Perform other job‑related responsibilities as requested by the Director of Nursing
• Be flexible and adhere to regular and predictable attendance
• Transport and transfer patients within the medical complex using appropriate equipment and safety precautions as indicated by the patient’s health status
• Assist nursing staff in lifting and ambulating patients using appropriate practice guidelines
• Maintain environment and equipment
• Demonstrate dependability, organizational skills and effective use of time by setting priorities to complete delegated work within established time frames in accordance with unit guidelines
• Demonstrate role accountability by adhering to Gundersen Health System Mission statement, policies and confidentiality standards

• Minnesota Registered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Current Infant‑Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers with hands‑on learning from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• If you do not have your CNA certification and CPR, we will pay for it and can start you as a Nursing Assistant

• $19.57 per hour (plus higher rates for experience)
• $2,500 sign‑on bonus after 6 months of employment (taxes apply)
• For those starting as a Nursing Assistant, the rate of pay is $18.57 per hour, and this position is not eligible for the sign‑on bonus
