NP​/PA - Cardiology - Park Rapids, MN

Position Overview

Park Rapids Clinic, Essentia Health – Cardiology – PRK. Full‑time (1.0 FTE) position located in Park Rapids, MN. The role is for an NP or PA (Cardiology) who will provide independent and collaborative patient care to a diverse range of individuals and families.

• Conduct independent clinic visits and manage patient treatment plans.
• Provide health assessment, education, and disease‑prevention counseling.
• Manage patients with heart and vascular conditions, including congestive heart failure.
• Conduct outreach and telemedicine visits 2–3 times per month to regional sites.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, technicians, and ancillary staff in a team‑based model.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in the electronic health record.

• NP or PA with a Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing, or a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies.
• Current state licensure as registered nurse (for NP) and Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Minnesota and, where required, North Dakota.
• Current CPR certification and national certification in applicable area.
• Preferred background in cardiology and experience with heart & vascular pathophysiology.
• Ability to communicate effectively and deliver patient education.
• Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing prior to practice.
