* As the Assistant Director of Nursing for the MVH-Preston, you will collaborate with the Director of Nursing to provide clinical supervisory oversight of nursing staff in the delivery of quality care to the residents of the home. You will manage the quality assurance program and coordinate the delivery of contracted clinical services and medical/clinical supplies by functioning as the professional/technical contract representative and providing overall coordination of care.
This position will also perform duties that include a rotation of on-call support to the home among nursing leaders.
This position is designated as full-time and primarily day shift. The position is initially eligible for full employer contribution toward health and dental insurance benefits.

** Minimum Qualifications*
* _Please ensure that your resume/application clearly describes your experience in the areas listed below, and indicates the beginning and ending month and year for each job held._
+ Licensed in Minnesota as a Registered Nurse with no restrictions and in good standing.
+ Four years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)*, including at least one year of experience leading or supervising other nursing staff as a charge/lead nurse or supervisor. (
* Note:
A Bachelor's degree in nursing may substitute for one year of the RN experience requirement. A Master's degree in nursing may substitute for 18 months of the RN experience requirement.)
+ Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross or ability to be certified by date of hire.
+ Human relations and leadership skills sufficient to effectively direct, guide, influence and supervise a nursing department staff.
+ Communication skills sufficient to communicate effectively with others and prepare and present information to various individuals and groups.
** Preferred Qualifications*
* + Experience supervising other nursing staff and performing supervisory responsibilities, such as hiring and employee performance management.
+ More than one year of experience leading other nursing staff as a charge/lead nurse.
+ Bachelor or advanced degree in nursing.
