Overview:
Join a collaborative healthcare team as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), providing primary and women's health care with the support of sponsoring physicians. This role involves supervising staff, maintaining clear communication, and working closely with medical professionals and community resources to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate, concise, and legible medical records while demonstrating proficiency with clinic computer systems including billing and meaningful use.
- Manage time and supplies effectively, support scheduling improvements, and participate in cost‑effective care initiatives.
- Coordinate patient care by utilizing community resources and ensuring continuity of care.
- Confirm and establish medical diagnoses, order and interpret lab and imaging tests, prescribe medications, and develop follow‑up plans in collaboration with physicians.
- Participate in quality improvement activities, including data preparation and education of colleagues.
- When assigned as a lab technical consultant, assist in quality control programs and resolve technical issues to maintain testing integrity.
- Provide patient education, counseling, and support, adjusting care plans based on patient feedback and clinical findings.
- Ensure patient safety by organizing delegated tasks and tailoring care to developmental stages from infancy to geriatrics.
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including psychosocial and medical histories, and manage care accordingly.
- Engage in professional growth through peer review, continuing education, competency testing, and performance evaluations.
- Exhibit excellent customer service, demonstrating courtesy, compassion, and respect to patients, families, and colleagues.
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required for new hires.
Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse licensure by the state board.
- Certified APRN credential required for new hires.
Work Schedule:
Full‑time, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week.
This position is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
