Registered Nurse Critical Care

As an RN in the Critical Care Unit (CCU), you will provide specialized, high-acuity nursing care to critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring and advanced medical support. You will work closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, evidence-based, and compassionate care in a fast-paced critical care environment.

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with established critical care standards, policies, and procedures.
• Perform comprehensive physical and hemodynamic assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and patient responses to treatment.
• Administer medications including IV infusions, vasoactive agents, and emergency drugs safely and accurately.
• Operate and monitor life-support and critical care equipment (cardiac monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, defibrillators).
• Assist physicians with invasive and emergency procedures.
• Respond rapidly to clinical deterioration and participate in resuscitation and code management.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes.
• Adhere strictly to infection control, safety, and quality improvement protocols.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families.

• 2-3 years of Critical Care Experience is mandatory
• Experience providing aeromedical care is an asset
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is an asset
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is an asset
• Current Trauma Course (PHTLS or ITLS) is considered an asset
• Indigenous cultural awareness training is considered an asset
• Proof of current required vaccinations as per company policy
• Air Medical Crew (AMC) Candidates must successfully:
• Complete the company provided aeromedical training (CAMATA Level
  1)
• Provide proof of a Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
• Scan, Child Abuse Registry and Adult Abuse Registry
• Obtain and maintain Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
• Possess and Maintain a Valid Driver’s License
• Possess and Maintain a Valid Canadian Passport
• Attain a Fit to Fly Form, completed by a recognized physician in Canada as required or directed by the Company.
