Medcor is looking to hire a full‑time Registered Nurse to be an Onsite Health Nurse at our employer‑based occupational health clinic in Milbank, South Dakota
. The hours for this position are Monday‑Friday
, 10:00am
-7:00pm
.
- Lead health initiatives and manage workplace safety programs.
- Provide first aid care and treatment by triaging employees after injuries following step‑by‑step care protocols, supporting employees with wellness, education, and teaching.
- Be responsible for the daily operations of the clinic, including ordering supplies and following compliance processes.
- Work collaboratively with the employer’s Safety Team, Human Resources, and medical providers at offsite offices such as urgent care and hospitals.
- Work independently with support available from the operations manager and other Medcor staff remotely.
- Administer and manage health service functions and daily clinic operations.
- Provide superior customer service to Medcor’s clients and employees.
- Assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcor’s Evidence Based Medicine protocols
, known as the Medcor Care Protocols (MCPs). - Build and maintain internal team relationships.
- Support onsite employee health and wellness efforts.
- Collaborate with client professionals in health, safety, and environmental practices.
- Collaborate with client human resources and benefits professionals on clinic issues.
- Document and manage information using electronic medical records software and other tools.
- Conduct pre‑employment and post‑offer screenings.
- Perform Physical Assessment Testing (PATs).
- Manage case management.
- Maintain OSHA record‑keeping.
- Be able to work independently and have good time management and organizational skills.
- Hold valid licensure for the RN position and current BLS (AHA or ARC) certification.
- Have strong computer and other technology skills, including familiarity with EMR software.
- Be physically capable of lifting a 50lb emergency response bag.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have a positive and outgoing personality.
- Be willing to go above and beyond for the job.
- Be passionate about people and providing the best care possible.
- Be able to have fun.
- You are Spanish‑speaking bilingual or willing to learn.
- You are comfortable working in a worksite clinic environment.
- You have relevant occupational health experience.
- You have experience in emergency medicine or critical care.
