The pay range for this position is $27.14-$42.41 based on direct and relevant experience.
RAYUS Radiology is looking for a Registered Nurse
- Staff to join our team. As a Registered Nurse
- Staff, you will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients in outpatient clinics.
This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm. This position has the option of working parttime 30-39 hours/week in a 0.8 or 0.9 status.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:(85%) Patient Care
Explains procedures and treatments to patients to gain cooperation, understanding, and reduce apprehensionScreens patient prior to procedure for any precautions or contra-indicationsEducate patients and family about pre, intra, and post procedure careAdministers prescribed medications and treatments (i.e. contrasts and sedations) in accordance with approved standards and regulations for carePrepares equipment and aids Physician during treatment and examination of patientMaintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patientObserves patient, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor or Physician of patient's condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidentsMonitors patient conditions including vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patientResponds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocolDocuments patient history and physical assessment for assigned patientsInitiates a patient education plan according to the individualized needs of the patient, as prescribed by Physician and/or clinic policy including patient and family instruction(10%) Department Support
Participates in department or unit quality improvement activitiesAssists in establishing, evaluating and updating patient care standardsMaintains patient monitoring equipment and nursing equipmentMaintains medication reconciliation for expired suppliesCompletes weekly automated external defibrillator (AED) & monthly crash-cart check offsKeeps daily temperature logs of medication fridge and blanket warmerMaintains iStat (handheld diagnostic blood analyzer) log monthly, and upon receipt of new cartridges(5%) Other Duties and Projects as Assigned
Required:High school diploma, or equivalentAssociate degree in NursingRegistered Nurse with current appropriate state licensure, current and in good standingCurrent Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificationCurrent BLS and ACLS certificationsRequires current Tuberculosis (TB) testSome travel is required between sites; a reliable means of transportation is required.Valid driver's license and proof of current insurance is required for the team member to personally drive a vehicle for company business (regardless of whether it's a company or personal vehicle)Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Experience in outpatient radiology
- Bilingual
