We are looking for Emergency Room RNs for an immediate travel nurse opening in Grand Marais, MN. The right RN should have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

As an ER Travel Nurse, you will work with a diverse team of caregivers to evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions. You should have experience caring for patients in a fast‑paced, urgent, and emergency environment.

Emergency Room RNs will perform minor medical operations, advise patients and families on illnesses or injuries, and plan long‑term care needs. Other responsibilities include documenting medical history, checking for allergies, obtaining vital signs, and monitoring patients' emotional and physical well‑being.

  • Provide basic bedside care.
  • Clean and bandage wounds.
  • Provide IV therapy.
  • Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
  • Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.

ER Travel Nurses should stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. They should be able to lift 20 pounds and may need to lift up to 50 pounds when moving patients. They must have good stress‑coping skills and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements
  • ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications.
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care experience.
  • Additional certifications may be required before beginning assignment.

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined. Travel job .
