Montevideo is the focal point of activity in the Prairie Waters region sits at the confluence of the Chippewa and Minnesota Rivers. That pleasant setting offers three major parks:
Smith, Lagoon and Windom Park Recreation Area. It's easy to see why 'Monte' (as the locals call it) is dubbed the "City of Parks". The Montevideo community is filled with other attractions, events and activities like Fiesta Days every June, an 18-hole golf course, car races, beautiful public art, a disc golf course, community swimming and water slide, ice fishing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling along 200 miles of groomed trails.

The Minnesota River is one of the few canoe-able rivers in Southwestern Minnesota with the best canoeing occurring during high water time each spring.

Will be responsible and accountable for assessment, diagnosis, and management of patient problems, including prescription of pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.

The scope of practice of a nurse practitioner includes, but is not limited to:

• Advanced practice registered nursing by certified nurse practitioners is based on knowledge and skills acquired throughout an advanced practice registered nurse's nursing education, training, and experience.
• Advanced nursing patient assessment and diagnosis.
• Ordering diagnostic and therapeutic tests and procedures, performing those tests and procedures when using health care equipment, and interpreting and using the results of diagnostic and therapeutic tests and procedures ordered by the advanced practice registered nurse or another health care professional.
• Ordering treatments, ordering, or applying appropriate medical devices, and using nursing, medical, therapeutic, and corrective measures to treat illness and improve health status.
• Providing palliative and end-of-life care.
• Providing advanced counseling, patient education, health education, and patient advocacy.

• Must have a Master's degree in nursing.
• Must have a current and unrestricted license in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
• Must be certified by the AANP.
• Must have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from a provider recognized by the American Heart Association.
• Must have at least 3 years of experience.
