Job Overview

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide individualized nursing care in a night shift setting. This full‑time position requires 40 scheduled hours per week, with nightly hours from 10:00pm to 6:30am and rotations on weekends and holidays. The role offers a competitive salary range of $36.00 to $48.00 per hour, a $10,000 sign‑on bonus, and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, HSA, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and additional night and weekend premiums.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to deliver individualized care to residents.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary providers to plan, implement, and evaluate care plans.
  • Provide preventative care, health maintenance, and treatment across all phases for residents.
  • Coordinate care, perform resident assessments, deliver resident education, and execute various nursing interventions.
  • Assume charge nurse duties as required, delegating tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within scope and competence.
  • Offer assistance and support to delegates to ensure safe, reliable resident care and resolve service concerns.
  • Operate within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and applicable state regulations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred; graduation from a nationally accredited program such as CCNE, ACEN, or NLN CNEA is preferred.
  • Current, unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs, and/or multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact state.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required department‑specific competencies and certifications.
  • Demonstrated competency in full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge with age and population‑specific standards.
