Full time - Premium: $3.00 added to every hour worked + $12,000 bonus for eligible employees (union position)
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in assisted living, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. The LPN demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting.
The LPN demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population‑specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident as per the care plan.
The LPN must possess the ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and to provide the care needed. The LPN ensures the health, comfort and safety of residents, contributes to the assessment of residents, and administers medications or treatments as ordered.
The LPN provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed, documents resident interactions and the outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary. The LPN is skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with residents, healthcare providers, and the public, and works effectively with professional and supportive personnel as a member of an interdisciplinary care team.
The LPN counsels residents, family members and/or resident advocates, under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider or physician, on prevention and treatment plans and applies knowledge of resident education principles to develop a self‑care program.
Qualifications- Graduated from an accredited school or college of nursing program leading to licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Current licensure as a practical nurse in the state or states of practice.
- Long‑term care, sub‑acute care, medical/surgical experience preferred.
- Specific services/positions may have additional education, training, or experience requirements.
