• Work day shifts including every other weekend and holiday.
• Part‑time: 20 hours per week.
• Nurture a family‑based care environment by learning about each person and serving their needs.
• Perform basic care of patients under the general supervision of an RN in an acute hospital setting.
• Transport and transfer patients within the medical complex safely and efficiently.
• Assist with data collection to facilitate the delivery of delegated nursing care.

• Work closely under the supervision of a licensed Nurse.
• Must be physically able to lift heavy objects, as well as push, pull, reach and squat on a regular basis.
• Accurately document each resident in an electronic medical record and must be familiar and competent with basic computer use.
• Assist with basic care for patients in the areas of nutrition, elimination, comfort, mobility, and safety.
• Ensure patient safety.
• Participate in CNA meetings and unit staff meetings.
• Participate in quality improvement activities to continuously improve patient care and unit operations.
• Perform other job‑related responsibilities as requested by the Director of Nursing.
• Be flexible and maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Transport and transfer patients within the medical complex using appropriate equipment and safety precautions as indicated by the patient’s health status.
• Assist nursing staff in lifting and ambulating patients using appropriate practice guidelines.
• Maintain environment and equipment.
• Demonstrate dependability, organizational skills, and effective use of time by setting priorities to complete delegated work within established time frames in accordance with unit guidelines.
• Demonstrate role accountability by adhering to Gundersen Health System Mission statement, policies and confidentiality standards.

• Minnesota Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• If you do not have your CNA certification, we will pay for it and can start you as a Nursing Assistant.
• Current Infant‑Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands‑on learning) from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

• $20.55 per hour, plus additional pay for experience.
• If you do not have your CNA certification, we will pay for training and start you as a Nursing Assistant at $18.57 per hour until you are certified.
• $2,500 sign‑on bonus after 6 months of employment (taxes apply).
