Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Gundersen Health System (Emplify Health) –
Scheduled Weekly

Hours:

32 hours per week.

Gundersen Health System (Emplify Health) in Spring Grove, MN is a long‑term care facility dedicated to promoting a healthy, meaningful and secure environment for adults of all ages. We are looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team and work day shifts.

We enroll candidates who do not yet hold an MN CNA certification in a fully funded program, enabling them to receive certification while working.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work day shifts, including every other weekend and holiday.
  • Support nursing staff under RN supervision to provide basic patient care.
  • Transport and transfer patients safely within the medical complex.
  • Assist with data collection to facilitate delegated nursing care.
  • Document resident information accurately in the electronic medical record.
  • Assist with basic care in nutrition, elimination, comfort, mobility, and safety.
  • Participate in CNA meetings, unit staff meetings and quality improvement activities.
  • Maintain patient safety, environment, and equipment.
  • Perform lifting and ambulation tasks following practice guidelines.
  • Adhere to scheduling, attendance, and confidentiality standards.
  • Execute additional duties as requested by the Director of Nursing.
  • Demonstrate reliability, organization, and prioritization skills.
Qualifications
  • Minnesota Registered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license. If you lack certification, we will pay for training and you may start as a Nursing Assistant.
  • Current Infant‑Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
  • Physical ability to lift heavy objects, push, pull, reach, and squat regularly.
  • Basic computer proficiency and documentation skills.
  • Flexibility to adhere to regular attendance schedule.
Compensation & Benefits
  • Hourly rate: $20.55/hour (additional for experience) or $18.57/hour until certification.
  • Sign‑on bonus: $2,500 after 6 months of employment (taxes apply).
