Facility: GSS MN Jackson Center

Shift: 8-hour day shifts, every other weekend (8 hours per week)

Salary: $36.00 – $48.00 per hour

Job Summary

The Long Term Care (LTC) Registered Nurse (RN) utilizes the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, evaluation) to deliver individualized nursing care to residents. The RN collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. The RN demonstrates competency within the full scope of nursing expertise, uses age and population‑specific standards, and provides preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment.

The RN coordinates care, performs assessments, provides resident education, and implements various nursing interventions.

The RN may serve as charge nurse on duty days, delegating appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel within the scope of their job descriptions, skills, resident care needs, and competence level. The RN ensures safe, reliable administration of resident care and resolves care and service concerns, functioning within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and administrative rules.

Qualifications
  • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing or valid multistate licensure via the Nurse Licensure Compact.
  • Maintain required department‑specific competencies and certifications.
