Job DescriptionOur Nurses work in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams, focused on a patient centered care model in a richly diverse workplace. Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager, the registered nurse utilizes evidence‑based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, hospital policies and procedures, and directions from the medical staff. The registered nurse uses the nursing process to develop a plan of care that includes standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the patient and family.
ExperienceWorking knowledge of the nursing process and customer service principles. National certification in specialty preferred. Acute‑care hospital experience preferred. IV skill preferred. Secondary language skills preferred.
License / CertificationCurrently certified in BLS or completion within the first three months of employment. ACLS required for ED, CCU, and designated staff in ACU/PACU and Endo. ACLS strongly recommended for staff cross‑trained to these areas. NNR required for OB.
Required QualificationsMust possess current Connecticut RN licensure and be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
