Location: Belgrade

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and direct care to patients in various healthcare settings. Your primary focus will be to support nursing staff by assisting patients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity. You will be responsible for monitoring patients' health status, reporting changes to the nursing team, and helping to maintain a clean and safe environment.

This role requires a strong commitment to patient-centered care, effective communication, and teamwork to enhance the overall patient experience. Ultimately, your work will contribute significantly to the well-being and recovery of patients under your care.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current and valid CNA certification recognized by the Minnesota Department of Health.
  • Completion of a state-approved nursing assistant training program within 4 months of hire.
  • Basic knowledge of patient care techniques and infection control procedures.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a long-term care facility, hospital, or similar healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Additional training or certification in specialized care areas such as dementia or hospice care.
Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting a positive and respectful environment.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals regarding patient conditions and needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of patient rooms and healthcare equipment according to established protocols.

The required skills such as patient care techniques and effective communication are essential for daily interactions with patients and healthcare teams, ensuring accurate and compassionate care delivery. Attention to detail and observational skills are used to monitor patient conditions and report any changes promptly.
