We are looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the team and work night shifts! Don’t have a CNA certification? No problem – we will enroll you in a fully funded program to obtain your MN CNA certification.

• Work night shifts including every other weekend and holiday
• Part‑time – work 32 hours a week
• Nurture a family‑based care environment by learning about each person and serving their needs
• Perform basic care of patients under the general supervision of an RN in the acute hospital setting
• Transport and transfer patients within the medical complex safely and efficiently
• Assist with data collection to facilitate the delivery of delegated nursing care

• Work closely under the supervision of a licensed nurse
• Be physically able to lift heavy objects, push, pull, reach and squat on a regular basis
• Accurately document each resident in an electronic medical record and operate basic computer functions
• Assist with basic care for patients in the areas of nutrition, elimination, comfort, mobility and safety
• Ensure patient safety and participate in unit staff meetings
• Engage in quality improvement activities to continually enhance patient care and unit operations
• Perform additional job‑related responsibilities as requested by the Director of Nursing
• Maintain flexible and predictable attendance
• Transport and transfer patients using appropriate equipment and safety precautions based on patient status
• Assist nursing staff in lifting and ambulating patients following practice guidelines
• Maintain the environment and equipment
• Demonstrate dependability, organisational skills and effective time management by setting priorities to complete delegated work within established time frames in accordance with unit guidelines
• Adhere to Gundersen Health System mission statement, policies and confidentiality standards

• Minnesota Registered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or willingness to obtain
• If you do not have your CNA certification, we will pay for it and can start you as a Nursing Assistant
• Current Infant–Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (hands‑on) from AHA or American Red Cross

• $20.55 per hour (+ more for experience)
• $2,500 sign‑on bonus after 6 months of employment (taxes apply)
• If you do not yet have certification, starting pay will be $18.57 per hour until certified
