Positions requirements and benefits
- Travel required to support multiple locations within 75-mile radius of permanent address
- Premium Pay Rates:
- $7/hour premium on all hours worked.
- $1.25/hour weekend shift differential
- $1.25/hour evening/night shift differential (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
Experience Requirements:
- 3 months experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred)
Scheduling Requirements:
- Minimum of 30 hours per month
- One weekend shift per month
Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Includes tasks such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, recording vital signs, and aiding with daily living activities. Ensures infection prevention and control policies and PPE use are followed.
Assists with transfers, range of motion, dining, and supports residents with meals and hydration. Documents resident interactions and communicates changes to the charge nurse. Performs housekeeping and laundry tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of hire (training/certification provided by facility).
- CPR certification preferred;
Child/Adult Abuse certification required within 6 months of hire.
Additional state-specific requirements may apply. All positions require compliance with facility policies and ongoing competency testing.
