Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Surgery PCU - RN

Role: Registered Nurse in a cardiovascular progressive care unit, providing specialized patient care to adult and pediatric patients recovering from heart surgeries and related procedures.

• Coordinating nursing care, delivering direct patient care, educating patients and families, supporting transitions of care, and participating in quality improvement activities. The RN utilizes the nursing process, demonstrates leadership roles such as preceptor, and delegates tasks based on skill and patient acuity.

• Must have a nursing degree from an accredited program, at least one year of RN experience, and a valid RN license. Additional requirements include BLS certification, strong communication and teamwork skills, computer proficiency, and flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Critical thinking, effective communication, leadership, adaptability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.
