Registered Nurse - Pre-Op

Pre-Op RN assignment for a 12-week contract in a perioperative setting with 32 guaranteed hours per week. This role follows an 8-hour day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with possible start dates of 4/13 or 4/27. The position is based in an outpatient surgery environment within a critical access hospital that includes 2 operating rooms and 1 procedure room.

Common case types include endoscopy, eye procedures, pain management, general surgery, and urology. Scrubs are provided by the unit. Set weekly hours are guaranteed except during holidays when the unit is closed, and orientation-week hours are not guaranteed.

Requirements:
Candidates must live outside the 50-mile radius requirement. A valid Minnesota RN license is required, along with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. Applicants must have at least 2 years of experience and should be skilled in intra-op, pre-op, and post-op care. EPIC charting experience is required. An Associate Degree or certificate is required, while ASN or BSN education is accepted for the role.

The position does not require routine floating, but the nurse must be prepared for low census situations and possible on-call placement based on unit needs.
