ASPIRUS LAKE VIEW HOSPITAL in Two Harbors, MN is seeking a LV REGISTERED NURSE-INFUSION CENTER to join our INFUSION THERAPY CLINIC team!
Salary Range: $41.89 - $64.78 Hourly

Hours:
DAY ONLY, 8 hours
Weekend Requirement:
Generally No Weekends
FTE: PART TIME, 0.6 FTE or 48 Hours Biweekly

The Staff Nurse applies and demonstrates knowledge of the delivery of professional nursing care, including all aspects of practice, as defined by the MN Board of Nursing and reinforced in Lake View's policies. Plans, delegates to, and organizes nursing personnel. Manages and coordinates information between patient, family and healthcare team members; provides for education of patient's families and staff and evaluates outcomes.
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS
- Education:
See Licensure/Certification/Registration requirements. - Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of recent relevant infusion therapy experience; verifiable clinical competence. - Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current license in Minnesota to practice as Registered Nurse. Must obtain ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification within two (2) years of start date in department and maintain certification thereafter. Employees must present proof of initial passing the ONS exam for provider status and subsequent recertifications to Human Resources prior to expiration of the provider card. Provider status will be primary source verified by Human Resources within thirty (30) days of the employee completing the test.
BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider or Healthcare Provider from either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross or Military Training Network.

Preference is given to individual with previous chemotherapy certification and/or certification as an oncology nurse (OCN). - Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC).

Ability to function as a team leader, primary nurse and role model; to accept individual responsibility and accountability for decisions and outcome; to communicate effectively with patients, families, personnel and Physicians and establish professional working relationships with the same; to recognize the legal limits of nursing practice;
