American Traveler is hiring a Labor and Delivery RN requiring active Minnesota RN licensure, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications for a 13-week assignment.
Details- Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a hospital setting
- Care for obstetrical patients including antepartum, postpartum, and couplet care patients
- Perform triage of obstetrical patients and Non Stress Tests (NST)
- Utilize external fetal monitoring and recognize/treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- 13-week assignment length
- 3x12 hour shifts with rotating day and night schedule or )
- Every other weekend or every third weekend commitment required
- Active Minnesota RN license required (in hand or proof of application at time of consideration)
- Current certifications required: ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
- BLS certification required
- AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience with strong OB background
- Experience with postpartum hemorrhage management preferred
- Level I Nursery experience preferred
- Med Surg experience is an additional asset
- Must reside more than 25 miles from the facility to be eligible for consideration
- Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
- Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- All time off requests must be disclosed and approved at the time of consideration
- Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility
- Required lab work must be completed within 48 hours of signing the contract
- Minnesota state law requires in-person Livescan fingerprinting completed on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date, applicable to all candidates regardless of residency
- Travelers are responsible for their own travel expenses and arrangements related to fingerprinting
